Events – St.Patrick’s 2017

The slaves in Montserrat planned an uprising for 17th March, 1768, in an attempt to grasp freedom from the bonds of their slave masters. The plot was discovered, and the ‘ringleaders’ cruelly punished. St Patricks Week of Activities remembers their sacrifice, and the heritage which has been passed down from generation to generation through the ages, and which makes Montserrat and its people unique.
